Legal Tech solutions aimed at making legal services

This position of the population opens up broad prospects for the development of more accessible and efficient through digital technologies. According to the Legal Tech Products Database published by LinGO, there are 66 Legal Tech products in Ukraine, the main clients of which are businesses and citizens, with a special emphasis on services to assist in creating documents and analyzing data from registers. Despite this, the variety of Legal Tech products remains limited compared to other countries.

Challenges

There are many reasons that slow down the creation and development of Legal special database Tech products, but I would like to focus on three key challenges that are specific to the Ukrainian market and are closely interrelated.

The first is the lack of proper communication between lawyers and clients. The existence of this problem becomes obvious to anyone who has ever looked at typical law firm and bar association websites. Most of them use complex "legalese" without clearly indicating the prices for services, which makes it difficult to attract clients.

An equally important problem is the gap between the IT sector and legal knowledge. Despite a wide range of opportunities for automating and optimizing legal services, many lawyers are not ready to use modern IT tools and do not have even a basic understanding of which services can be automated, and most importantly, for what purpose.

And finally, there is a lack of awareness among lawyers about the possibilities of obtaining financing for legal innovations. Analyzing the websites of major startup programs, you will see that Legal Tech projects make up less than 10% of the total.
