You know that since we started helping sales teams, we have learned a lot and discovered interesting information about prospecting .

The most interesting one, coming from the companies that contact us, is that prospecting database providers usually have 50% to 80% of the information incorrect or out of date .

I confess that I was shocked the first time I heard this. But with each taiwan email list new contact, this information is consolidated.

The most common situations:

non-existent or inactive companies
outdated phones
wrong sector of activity
This topic is so common that I decided to list the 6 main problems caused by bad data and share them with you:

1. Loss of productivity
The most obvious problem is the drop in productivity . According to Gartner, 67% of a salesperson’s time is spent on non-sales activities: research and data entry. The quality of information directly affects this number.

2. Loss of revenue
If your salespeople spend their time researching companies and correcting inaccurate data, you’re taking precious resources away from revenue-generating activities. The result? Wasted time, unproductive calls, fewer meetings scheduled, and fewer sales.

3. Impaired planning and metrics
Imagine that company X develops a marketing and sales program with ambitious goals. However, the program is based on prospect lists with outdated companies that do not belong to the target market or that no longer exist.
The result is not surprising: a lot of wasted time and limited results, below what was planned.

4. Team demotivation
Drop in sales, inability to meet targets and loss of productivity are perfect ingredients for demotivating a sales team .

5. Internal conflicts
Repeated company registrations, for example, can not only harm metrics but also cause internal competition within the team for ownership of the opportunity. Not to mention the poor customer experience.

6. Damage to your credibility
Prospecting the same contact more than once, communicating inconsistent messages or seeking out people who have not been part of the company for years can cause long-term damage to your company's image and credibility.
